2021 Benefits & Rates: BCBS FEP Dental
Taking care of your teeth is an important part of maintaining your overall health. FEP BlueDental is now Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP Dental, and it features a variety of supplemental dental benefits available to federal employees, retirees and their families. BCBS FEP Dental is also available to retired uniformed service members and their eligible family members.
Open Season for federal health insurance runs Monday, November 9 through midnight Eastern time Monday, December 14, 2020. Now is a great time to learn about BCBS FEP Dental.
Here’s what’s new for 2021:
Orthodontic waiting period
- We are removing the orthodontic waiting period for Standard Option members. Previously, there was a 12-month waiting period.
- We are increasing the orthodontia lifetime max for Standard Option members to $2,500 for in-network services and $1,250 for out-of-network services. Previously, it was $2,000 for in-network services and $1,000 for out-of-network services.
- We’ve updated the rating areas. You can find the full list in the 2021 BCBS FEP Dental brochure.
