The Different Costs of Care

It’s important to seek emergency care in the event of a true medical emergency like difficulty breathing or moving, poisoning and signs of a stroke or heart attack. For less serious ailments it might be worth a conversation with your doctor or nurse first. See the cost breakdown of different forms of care for each of our health plans.

Want to start a conversation about care?
Our Nurse Line is available 24/7 for general questions about health issues or where to go for immediate care. You’ll be connected with a registered nurse via phone, email or secure message and all at no cost to you.

Want care quickly?
All members receive their first two Teladoc® visits for free. After the first two visits, Standard Option and FEP Blue Focus members pay $10 and Basic Option members pay $15.

Need care today?
You can always call your doctor’s office for an appointment, and many offer night and weekend hours as well. The Standard Option copay is $25, Basic Option is $30 and FEP Blue Focus is $10 each for the first 10 visits. Your doctor may also offer telemedicine visits online or over the phone. You pay your physician copays for non-Teladoc telemedicine visits with your primary care provider.

Need care soon?
Walk-in appointments at a retail clinic in your nearby pharmacy are good for health screenings, vaccinations and minor illness or injury. The Standard Option copay is $25, Basic Option is $30 and FEP Blue Focus is $10 each for the first 10 visits.

Need care right now?
Walk-in appointments with shorter wait times than the ER are available at an urgent care center. These can be useful for non-life-threatening illness or injury that requires immediate care. The Standard Option copay is $30, Basic Option is $35 and FEP Blue Focus is $25.

Medical Emergency
In the event of life-threatening illness or injury (chest pain, signs of stroke, difficulty breathing/moving) call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room. The cost breakdown is as follows:
